If Yasiin Bey (Mos Def) Is Really Retiring, This Concert Is Your Last Chance To See Him Live

Tickets go on sale this week for Yasiin Bey’s final New York City concert at the Apollo Theater on December 21.
Ticket pre-sale begins on November 29 while the this special one-night-only concert goes on sale this Friday, December 2 at 12 noon. Click here for more details. Bey also takes the stage at D.C.’s Kennedy Center Concert Hall December 31 through January 2.
The artist formerly known as Mos Def announced in January that he would retire from music and the film industry. Still, this year he has been actively recording music, with tracks on Tidal and Kanye West’s web site. His 99th Project looks to be released on December 9.
He has spent much of 2016 in South Africa, after being arrested for not providing a passport when attempting to leave the country.
No word on the special guests Yasiin Bey will welcome on stage in December, but except some hip hop legends to join him.
