Yandel Headlines “Puerto Rico Somos Uno” Concert In Orlando; More Benefit Concerts Coming?

Reggaeton star Yandel headlines a concert in Orlando, FL for October 19 seeking to raise money for Hurricane Maria relief. Could a major Puerto Rico benefit concert taking place in Nueva York be far behind?
Tickets go on sale September 29 for the “Puerto Rico Somos Uno” benefit concert at Amway Center in Orlando, FL, which will be headlined by Cayey, PR native Yandel.
This is just one of many donation drive efforts spearheaded by many artists and celebrities of Puerto Rican descent. Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez have teamed up for advocacy efforts. Ricky Martin’s foundation has started a campaign. MLB star Carlos Beltran launched with his wife a fundraising drive.Current OKC Thunder star Carmelo Anthony also has turned his foundation’s attention the island’s recovery.
More locally Pregones/PRTT will donate gate receipts from most of its October performances to the relief effort.
