John Leguizamo performs  on Nov.16th

John Leguizamo managed to clown us all when in 2011 we found out that he, the long time Nuyorican cultural ambassador was in fact Colombian, not Puerto Rican.

This large scale practical joke is part of the beauty of John Leguizamo’s career: forcing American society to take both a light-hearted, but serious look at the importance of class, skin color and ethnicity in America.

From Bogatá to Primetime

Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Leguizamo since the age of 4, grew up in Queens, New York. After honing his skills on the New York City’s stand-up comedy circuit, Leguizamo made his TV debut with a very small part in Miami Vice. Since then he has been a regular in numerous television series, including ER, Dora the Explorer, The Kill Point and Only Fools and Horses.

Leguizamo has managed to remain a household name inside and outside the realm of urban American comedy. The consistency of Leguizamo’s comedy and career has allowed him almost 2 decades of creativity and success. Even aside from television, Leguizamo has worked on Broadway productions such as Mambo Mouth, Spic-O-Rama, Freak, and Klass Klown.

Well, thanks to Dahday.com, you can see Leguizamo in all of his brilliance and funny next week.

On November 16th, John Leguizamo will be performing his latest stand-up comedy routine entitled, “Ghetto Klown” @ NJPAC (Newark) at 1 PM. Get your tickets on Dahday.com today!
