The GGG vs Daniel Jacobs Fight Now Has “Chocolatito” On The Same Card

December 22, 2016

Nicaragua’s Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez now will fight on the same card as the middleweight championship bout between Gennady “GGG” Golovkin and Brooklyn native Daniel Jacobs.

Arguably the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, Gonzalez joins this tremendous fight night at The Garden on March 18 to face Srisaket Sor Rungvisai to defend his junior bantamweight title.

Gonzalez, of Nicaragua, has fought in New York City only once before, when he defeated Brian Viloria by TKO at Madison Square Garden in 2015.

Boxing fans now have even more reason to check out this night of boxing, which is headlined by the GGG-Daniel Jacobs clash. Both GGG and Jacobs have been successful headliners in New York City: Golovkin beat David Lemieux to a sold out crowd in 2015; BK’s Jacobs – a cancer survivor – defeated Sergio Mora and Peter Quillan at Barclays Center to energetic crowds also in 2015.

Fight fans also will be intrigued by the result of this middleweight fight – particularly if GGG wins – because Canelo Alvarez, who is recovering from injury, may fight Golovkin in September 2017,

This fight no doubt is going to be a sellout. We can get you tickets! Sign up here and let us know what you are looking for.
