Thursday, July 6 at 5am: TODAY Concert Series with Ed Sheeran at TODAY (48th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues), New York, N.Y. | Free
If you have ever dreamed of waking up early and taking the trip to 30 Rock for a TODAY Show free concert, here is a good one! British superstar Ed Sheeran will certainly rock his “Shape of You” song and perform some of his biggest hits in front of a mob of fans just like you. Just make sure to get there bright and early — by 5am ideally.

Friday to Sunday, July 28-30 at TBD: Panorama Music Festival at Randall’s Island Park, New York, N.Y. | Buy Tickets
New York City music fan’s annual trek on a ferry to Randall’s Island takes place this coming July. This year’s dope mix of artists includes Solange, Frank Ocean, Isaiah Rashad, Future Islands and THEY. on Friday; Alt-J, Vince Staples and Noname on Satuday; and A Tribe Called Quest, Mura Masa, Nine Inch Nails and 6lack on Sunday. Same as other festivals, you can buy all weekend passes or hold out for individual day tickets as well.

Saturday, July 30 at 3pm: Rock Steady Crew 40th Anniversary featuring MC Lyte at Rumsey Playfield (Central Park), New York, N.Y. | Free
This SummerStage hip hop event represents for the old school, leading with the one that is “Light As a Rock,” MC Lyte. For free, you will see the legendary b-boys as well as Lyte’s classic hits. Sounds like a plan, no?

Friday, August 11 at 7:30pm: Natalia Lafourcade and Vagabon @ Lincoln Center at Damrosch Park, New York, N.Y. | Free
Always a great event to experience the best music from around the world, Lincoln Center Out Of Doors program this summer includes mexicana artist Natalia Lafourcade as well the Cameroonian-born, New York-based Vagabon on Friday, August 11. Enjoy their band of indie rock and pop and soak in the sun.
