Dahday's Picks For Coolest Baseball Tickets – Post-All Star Break Edition

July 15, 2014

The All Star Game has past. Both New York teams are on the fringes of a pennant race. The Phillies stink. Still baseball to go see? Yes! The second half of the season still provides some great promotions and of course one highly anticipated series to see The Captain in the Bronx one last time.

Feel free to email info@dahday.com or call 1-877-959-4699 if you need help finding tickets to any of these ballgames.

Wednesday, July 30 at 12:10pm: New York Mets vs. Philadelphia Phillies at Citi Field, Queens, N.Y.

Weekday baseball games are just awesome. Take the day off. Sit in the sun. Drink an adult beverage and eat some greasy, fried food. How’s that for a Happy Hump Day? The Mets are clinging to hopes of wild card contention, floating within seven or eight games of the final playoff spot. The Phillies sit last place in National League East and may look pretty different by the end of July. Granted, these two teams are not the 1986 Mets vs. the 2008 Phillies but who cares? You can enjoy a ballgame and be home for dinner.

Sunday, July 27 at 1:05pm: New York Yankees vs. Toronto Blue Jays at Yankee Stadium, Bronx, N.Y.

On the field, this game is huge. The Yankees are trying to stay in the division race while the Blue Jays – which led the division much of the year – will see this series as a must-win. Plus, if you  are one of the first 18,000 fans at the ballpark, you will receive this Paul O’Neill bobblehead. You get a cool item for free and you can watch an important series-closing game in the Bronx. Good deal.

Friday-Monday, August 8-11: Philadelphia Phillies vs. New York Mets at Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia, PA

As normal, the Phillies hold its annual Alumni Weekend during this first full weekend in August. For a die-hard Phillies fan, this is always a fun weekend to attend a ballgame. On Friday night at 7:05pm, fans can pick up a Roy Halladay bobblehead; on Saturday night before the 7:05pm first pitch the team inducts a new member into its Walk of Fame; Alumni Day takes place on Sunday afternoon; and the get-away game on Monday afternoon at 1:05pm provides a poster giveaway.

Saturday, August 16 at 7:10pm: New York Mets vs. Chicago Cubs at Citi Field, Queens, N.Y.

If you are baseball and a R&B music lover – or at least need to convince to your wife or girlfriend to attend a ballgame with you – this game is made for you. Motown Philly’s Boyz II Men perform after the ballgame, giving you a Mets game and a concert for the price of one ticket.

Thursday, September 25 at 7:05pm: New York Yankees vs. Baltimore Orioles at Yankee Stadium, Bronx, N.Y.

2014 will certainly be remembered at Derek Jeter’s last season in a Yankees uniform. September 25’s game against the currently first-place Orioles stands as Number 2’s last home game in that storied uniform. This is the hottest ticket since Mariano Rivera played his final home game last season. For fans of the Bombers, this is the type of game you attend then eventually tell your grandchildren about the experience. That the Yankees might be playing for a playoff spot only adds to the drama and emotion of baseball bidding farewell to the game’s biggest star.
