SZA, Soul II Soul, Willow Smith, Gary Clark, Jr. and Thundercat Hightlight AFROPUNK 2017 in Brooklyn

AFROPUNK, which holds its annual soul, rock and funk concert festival in Brooklyn, N.Y. each summer, has announced its 2017 lineup.
General Admission and VIP tickets are on sale now for Brooklyn’s AFROPUNK, which will take place August 26 and 27 at Commodore Barry Park. This year’s festival will feature cutting edge artists like SZA, Thundercat and KING, throwback soul artists like Soul II Soul and Macy Gray and rock standouts like Gary Clark, Jr.
Both days have a special guest artist TBA but officially thus far, SZA, Macy Gray, Thundercat, Willow Smith and others will perform on August 26 while Gary Clark, Jr., Michael Kiwanuka and others highlight the August 27 concert.
This international promotion once again will aim to take place in Atlanta as well, though last year’s festival was cancelled reportedly due to weather. France’s festival features Yasiin Bey, Tyler The Creator and Big Freeda among others in Paris this July.
